Reunion in Paradise

Our family recently gathered for a reunion in Kentucky, USA.

Not tropical storm Andrea, Not the insanely busy freeway around Atlanta, and Not the numerous speed traps along the way could deter us from our Reunion.

After 14 hours of driving we arrived in Paradise: Paradise Resort Kentucky.

Paradise Resort is located in the western tip of Kentucky, overlooking the dammed, northward flowing Tennessee River which has been renamed Kentucky Lake.  To the east the dammed, northward flowing Cumberland River has been renamed Lake Barkley. Land Between the Lakes is a National Recreation area.

Daughter Cindy and Kristy drove the Cow Car from Columbus, Ohio to join us.

Tropical Storm Andrea shrouded us in the stillness of Kentucky Lake for a couple of days.

The sun mercifully showed its face before
parlor games destroyed us all.

The return of sun light made this dammed river look and feel like paradise.

The water called us to ourselves, providing sweet relief from gravitas.

Everything, it seems, started at the water line.

I'm telling!!!

Who cares!

Some other sights around Paradise...

Thanks for viewing.
